Preserving Memories . . . in the fridge

Jared found some photos he liked, including one of his grandparents ("My two friends!" he said when he saw it), and he decided the pictures needed to be in a better place than they had been. First, he tried putting them on the stove, sliding them under the edging of the oven door.
It worked long enough to show Mom, but was not a long-term solution. Mom put them on the clipboard on the bulletin board, where they'd stay up a little better. That, however, was not good enough for Jared. He needed to put them where he knew they'd stay good. He just needed the perfect place. Aha! The fridge! That's where Mom put all the food to stay good! And that's just where Mom found the pictures.

Epilogue: Mom thought Jared's photo preservation was cute and left the photos where he'd put them. Today he found them there and decided they needed to be displayed, so Mom helped him get them on the wall.

"She has holes in her ears!"

Jared comes from a land of unpierced ears. Not that the women in our family have issues with pierced ears, they just don't have them, for the most part. So, when Mom's friend came wearing earrings one day, Jared announced in shock, "Hey, you have holes in your ears! You need to fix them with tape, or your bones will fall out!" Gotta love three-year-olds. :)
